Words of encouragement for homeschool moms

Another step closer

Joyce works hard!Tonight my sister, Joyce, came over and she helped Michael think through the placement of the lower cabinets. While I took three kids to viola lessons, Michael and Joyce worked hard. When I got home, I jumped into the project and helped in any little way I could.

We finally called it quits around midnight, which meant we still needed to finalize a few things, put away tools, and brainstorm about the next steps. Words cannot express my enthusiasm for my new kitchen! The sink and dishwasher are in place and waiting to be hooked up. The countertop is so beautiful and just needs to be attached to the cabinets and sealed around the edge. There are lots of little things yet to be done, but the big stuff keeps happening.

Joyce's DreamTonight I asked Laura to walk around and take some photos of this stage. She got a shot of Joyce holding up her original blueprint and standing in front of the installed cabinets. It’s been a long time since Joyce dreamed up our kitchen, and now it’s actually looking like her dream.

It’s too late tonight to post photos, so you’ll just have to imagine it. Soon I’ll put up a progress photo. Thank you all for sharing in our enthusiasm.

P.S. Just got some photos loaded. Unfortunately, Judah took advantage of my distraction and spilled ALL of the cinnamon sugar I left on the counter in the kitchen. He’s a busy boy!
