Today we made plans to have supper at Roy & Mary’s house, but I didn’t know that some of us also made plans to have a surprise birthday party while we were there.

I must admit, things seemed a little suspicious today, but I couldn’t put my finger on exactly what it was. Once we arrived at our destination tonight, and I read the “Happy Birthday, Christie!” sign, I pretty much figured it all out.  (My actual birthday is on Sunday, but that didn’t dampen anyone’s enthusiasm.)

We all had a wonderful supper and a great time visiting. And even though I don’t always know what to do with the attention, it is fun to be a “guest of honor”.
