Words of encouragement for homeschool moms

Tomorrow

November 8th, 2007 by Christie

Tomorrow morning Michael will leave for a week. What a strange feeling. Most of the day Michael isn’t home anyway, but at least he’s still close by.

I’m trying to think of what we can do for the week that he’s gone. Some old Cary Grant movies are coming from Netflix, so maybe I’ll have some movie times with the kids and introduce them to some of my favorite oldies. I also want to work on getting some areas of the house more organized and cleaned up. All in all, I’m not really looking forward to being a single parent for a week, but we’ll make the best of it.  Maybe we’ll think of some fun ways to make the week special.

Christie, Well, here we are in Taiwan doing the same thing you are since Roy left early this morning to head to VA for about 13 days. We should pray for each other. :) The girls both had emotional melt downs of sorts today; they are sad over grandma Jo’s passing and sad that their daddy is not here. I think being on the other side of the world just makes it even harder on them. Nevertheless, I was praying this morning that God would help me to make the most of this time with Hannah and Lydia especially. I have things I’d like to get done but I also want to take time to just “spend time with them” more and to have fun, work together, and get some house pick up accomplished as well as our work at the English Village. I will pray that baby Lilly will behave herself :) and not come too early… then again “God’s timing is perfect!” Give the kids my love,
    Mary

Thanks so much, Christie, for popping in at my blog. It’s great to be in touch with you! You definitely have your hands full this week! Hang in there. I’m sure you’ll think of some great ideas to keep the kids busy. And, I’ll pray that baby Lilly stays put until Michael gets home!
