Well, it’s official - Lilly is ornery.
She didn’t want to wait until the scheduled induction, so she sent Christie into labor at 2:00 this morning. We went to the hospital at 4:00 and by 8:54 Lilly had arrived.
Christie was able to labor naturally with no drugs - which has been a wish of hers.
Lillian Janice, born December 11th.
Weight: 9 pounds 6 oz.
Length: 20.5 inches
Mother and baby are doing well and should be resting now.

dear Lyons family,
congratulations on the arrival of your baby girl and sister Lily!
I have been thinking of you all day yesterday, hoping and praying that everything would go well.
I am happy for you Christie, that you could give birth to Lily “the natural way”. I have had this experience with our children, too, and that meant a lot to me.
special wishes also from Jesse, who thinks that it is a very nice thing that Lily was born on his birthday!!!

Congratulations!!
Baby Lilly is beautiful! I was praying for you all morning, Christie. I’m so thankful God answered prayers to keep you and Lilly safe and for the delivery to be quick! I will continue to pray for your smooth transition home. The girls and I have seen all the wonderful pictures Michael posted and we are anxious to meet Lilly in person!

What a wonderful Christmas present to take home soon. Matthew was born Dec. 16, and the best Christmas present I have ever received.

I can’t wait to meet Lilly and see how she fits into the family.
I am glad that Michael called with the update - I was with my Bible study group and we immediately prayed for her.
