Retreat

Today I spent the whole day at a video seminar at our church. It was by Sonya Shafer, and she was talking about the Charlotte Mason methods of education. You can check out her website for all kinds of wonderful resources. I’m eager to look around there and see what they have to offer.
While I don’t teach from a completely CM approach, I did get some good ideas that I want to integrate in my homeschooling.
Most of all, it was great to get away from home for a day, hang out with my sister, go out to lunch, and come home at the end of the day to a clean house and happy children. My husband is so kind to me!

It is good you could go to this event and get new ideas to use in your homeschooling.
And it was very nice you could come home to a clean house.

Hi Laura, It was neat to get to know you better today, too.
At first I thought it was my daughter, Laura, who wrote this, and then I realized it was a different Laura.
