Ok, here’s a weird thought for you:
Some people treat their pets like children.
Today I wondered if it’s ok to treat your children like pets?
As I watched my children enjoying the beautiful weather, and as they wished for interesting things to do, I felt like I was overcome with the same nurturing feelings I often feel toward my pets.
Children and pets are not the same. But sometimes they evoke similar emotions in a person.

South Park did a whole episode on it, which I’ve been trying to get you to watch for foreeeeever. They had the dog whisperer come on to tame an unruly child.

Dave, I DID watch that one! I really liked it. And now that I’ve watched the Dog Whisperer, I appreciate it even more.

Oh that’s right. I remember now. I liked how at the end when the dog whisperer left, she started coddling him again, and so he went right back to being bad. A cautionary tale for our time.
On his show I’ve seen the Dog Whisperer compare raising children to raising dogs. So it seems that a lot of people have seen a connection.
The big difference for me is, I just don’t see why anybody would want a “children”. They smell funny!

HI from Florida!! having a great time – it is interesting here! dolphins out front every morning – our hotel is older people and so so nice!! craziness down the beach – we were there yesterday. shrimp festival here tomorrow.
