Waffles
March 26th, 2009 by Christie
Last night I bought two waffle irons. They were on sale at Farm & Fleet
, for only $30 each instead of their usual $50 each. I had admired this model before, but hesitated at the price. So it didn’t take much to convince me to snatch them up.
This morning I made waffles. And I have to say, I’m very pleased with my new toys! The waffles are large and filling. I don’t think any of the children were able to eat more than one whole waffle, so I have lots of leftovers, which is fine with me. I want to experiment with freezing them and see how they are reheated later.
Yum, yum!

That is a winter staple at our house, Rick makes waffles using Jiffy corn muffin mix. We stick them in the fridge and reheat in the microwave. good stuff!

After seeing your facebook status last night we decided to have waffles this morning too! I always double the amount I make to freeze some. They are great to take out of the freezer and pop into the toaster…just like an eggo only thicker and yummier

I LOVE waffles!! We freeze ours as well. We use plastic baggies and just unwrap them and reheat them for breakfast!
YUMMY!

Wow that picture makes my mouth water. Restaurants should pay to you take pictures for their menus and advertisements!
Leftovers, you say? Oh… did I mention I need to come by to… uh… look for something I may have left there? Yeah.

Mmmm, they look scrumptious! We freeze & re-heat too. Best way to make anything at all these…..way more than I need so I can use it at a later date!!!

Great photography, Christie!
By the way, how does it work having two? Do you alternate starting times so the waffles get finished non-stop?
We need to plan a waffle party
