Words of encouragement for homeschool moms

39

April 22nd, 2009 by Christie

Today is my birthday. Hard to believe it’s my last year to be thirty-something.
I decided that what I really wanted to do was to plan my own birthday dinner. So I am making a German-Chocolate Cake with homemade coconut-pecan frosting, and I’ll serve enchiladas made with venison for supper. I’ll also make some cheese tostadas for those picky children who turn their little noses up at enchiladas.
All in all, I think it will be a fun day, and a nice way to remember the start of my 39th year.

Happy Birthday! Remember when 40 sounded so old?!? Wow, now that it’s here, doesn’t seem so old to me now!! Hope your day is great!

Hey Happy Birthday Christie!! My mom since I can remember has made me a german chocolate cake everything from scratch…it is absolutely delicious. I might not always get to enjoy it on my actual birthday but i look forward to it every year. Have a great day, enjoy your cake, and thanks for your friendship.

Christy, I was at Mayo Clinic with Karen when Dick called to tell me that you had arrived. Back then the sex of the baby was not known ahead. I was thrilled that your father had a little girl. He had always enjoyed ours so much. Happy Birthday Christy.

    Christie,
I remember when you were born…You were my first, and I thought there could never be another baby girl as beautiful as you!
Well, now that you’ve had three little girls of your own, I have to admit, you have created some competition :-)
    I love you.
    Happy birthday!
